BIien-from the mask/gum rubber collector site. If you have entered here by chance, do not leave immediately. Maybe I will be interested in my hobby of mascar/gum rubber papers.
The chewing/gum rubber or "Zhvachka" (Russian colloquial word) as a product has its individual packaging: from a small packaging paper to an automatic machine destined for sale. Since it is used as a product, the packaging paper becomes domestic garbage and object of special attention by the collectors. I am precisely a collector dedicated to this topic: "chewing rubber" (gum), then "G.M.". Generally, these papers are extended to various types of collection on the topic of "chewing rubber/gum":
- Wrapping and packaging papers destined for chewing rubber (without “g.m.”) (№1),
- Posters (prints inside the packaging) (№2).
- Chew rubber packaging (not unpacked, containing “G.M.”) (№3), - Objects related to chewing rubber (automatic sales of “G.M.”, diverse commercial equipment, advertising material, etc.) (№4).

Over time and increased amounts of collected packaging, better knowledge related to this issue is acquired and it is necessary to classify the specimens by countries, producing companies, forms, years of production. It is necessary to dedicate myself to some separate subject. I was interested in the theme "Wrapping of the chewing rubber/gum pills" of the rectangular form (№5). I maintain a detailed catalog dedicated only to this issue and apply to each wrapping its own number. Today (July 5, 2015) in my collection there are 43 347 wrapping of the chew/gum rubber pills. In total, my collection currently has 88 thousand copies of wrapping and packaging of the chewing/gum rubber from 126 countries of the world (current territories). I have this passion to collect it from my childhood, beginning of the 70s, together with the collection of other objects (postal stamps, pig box labels, currencies and others by extension), becoming my main hobby for many years.

Our theme is not extended much in the world, but the Internet has enabled the establishment of communication ties with colleagues from different corners of the world. I have established friendly contacts with the colleagues of Czech, United States of Amẻrica, Chile, Japan, Korea. In Russia and the ex-republics of the USSR there are very few collectors, although previously, in the 70-80 years, the collection of wrapping papers and posters of “G.M.” was very popular. A few years ago, and it is true, the situation began to change and the activity of our collectors, both of those of the elderly and of the younger age, the fact that causes me a lot of joy, rose. I want to highlight apart the Czech Republic. It is to be admired that this our issue is very popular in that country; There is an independent section at the Prague Collecting Club, being the collection of this section. I know by correspondence to many Czech collectors since the times before the Internet. I managed to communicate with them live in 2011, when I traveled for a week through the various cities of Czech, in which my colleagues live (№№ 07-12). By the way, the greatest number of objects collected are in a cock.

I stayed after that trip to aze and materialized in 2013 a dream of me: visit Japan, where I met with the Japanese collectors, my acquaintances by correspondence from yesteryear, as well as I was invited to participate in a television program The Japanẻs theme is very remarkable in my collection. This proper, I start collecting all kinds of objects, starting with the Japanese wraps, currently the percentage of Japanese wrappers from the pills that have long occupied the first place among the objects collected. In general, the countries of the Far East, except Japan, South Korea, China in recent times are very attractive from the point of view of our hobby, due, above all, to the production of chewing rubber in the form of pills, their various themes dedicated to cinematographic subjects, video games and comics (comics) being picturesque. Here is a vast field for collectors ... The Korea was also visited by me, but China, for the end of it, was not visited. I hope to compensate for proximly, but as the experience shows, for being the country too big, my colleagues did not always buy some interesting objects during their trips to China. Sometimes they could buy Chinese chewing gum of interesting packaging in other countries, which was impossible to be acquired in China herself. I also had an experience in such a case, when in Cambodja you buy interesting Chinese chewing; On other occasions I also received them from Mongolia. Summarizing: they are the countries, in which the chewing rubber never occurred. At least, no collector - my colleague has in its collections the chewing rubber brought from those countries. I am afraid that this last "black" list was abandoned by Ethiopia and Nepal (№№ 20-21). But significant “white” spots are still in the country list

In general, the chewing rubber is a rather antíguo product: it was evident in the United States in the mid -19th century. I have a box without dated chewing rubber on February 14, 1871 (№6). It is an exemplary antíguo in my collection. I have others, those of paper produced abroad, of the 19-20 centuries (№№22-23). Although the same amount: the main mass of collected specimens are wrapping of chewing gums produced in the last 40 years. But there are collectors that collect only the specimens produced before the year 1940. My collection is mainly completed through the exchange with my colleagues, but sometimes I can find and buy antígua collections through the ads, but very rarely in recent years. There were cases of free acquisitions, that is, some people gave me their collections of their childhood.
It is also necessary to deal with various types of collection to exchange with collectors of other types of objects (coins, postal stamps, telephone cards, cigarette boxes, chocolate wraps and other objects). That parallel collection also leads me to certain type of passion.
To tell the truth, I mean the pure accumulation of the exchange fund and not to the collection. If it is necessary to leave other people accumulated by me - in order to exchange and acquisition for me of the objects of my main theme, I will undoubtedly. Until now I collected objects in the sufficiently complete amount of the “Transport Plates (№24) of the city of Samara” (Russia), even reaching a small site on the Internet. Other ẻxites: telephone cards and chocolate wrappers, but due to the large amount of specimen it is unlikely that I will place them on the internet, because the time to create my own catalog of wrapping of the chewing tires on the internet is missing, without talking about other types of collection. My collection is also completed to neglect new chewing tires during my trips abroad and in our commercial warehouses, but novities are quite rare, although in recent years I am happy for new Russian producers of chewing tires. Above all, these purchases are useful in the sense of being able to complete my exchange fund. To acquire new objects I actively turn to public sales online.

Small personal information: I live in Samara, married, I have daughter and grandson, in the free time of the hobby I have to work to keep that hobby.

Is you collector? Is another the issue of your collection? Do you want to establish mutually advantageous exchange with me? Do you have an antígua collection of the chewing tires? I am willing to any collaboration and, please, please, with me for any procedure, to which it responds.
